Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This page documents how content on this website is researched, written, labelled, reviewed and corrected. It exists so a reader can judge our work by a published standard instead of taking it on trust.
Sources we use
- Official product documentation — specifications, program descriptions, app features, warranty and guarantee terms.
- Published research on the mechanism — the physiology of the vagus nerve and the parasympathetic response, and the state of research into non-invasive stimulation.
- Public user feedback — recurring themes from buyers across retail listings and community discussion, read for patterns rather than cherry-picked quotes.
How we label claims
Manufacturer claims are labelled as manufacturer claims. Statistics supplied by the brand are attributed to the brand. Where an effect is well established for the underlying mechanism but not demonstrated for a specific consumer device, we say so in those words. We do not let clinical research on one thing silently vouch for a different thing.
Separation of content and advertising
Commercial links are disclosed on every page that carries them and in our Affiliate Disclosure. Commission rates do not influence rankings, ratings or verdicts. No advertiser, merchant or brand reviews our content before publication or has approval rights over it.
Reviews, ratings and testimonials
We do not write fake reviews, invent star ratings, inflate review counts or publish testimonials we cannot trace to a real source. Where structured data on this site carries an aggregate rating, it reflects publicly reported figures from the merchant and is labelled as such rather than presented as our own scoring. If we cannot verify a number, it does not go on the page.
Author credentials
Content on this site is written by Rafael Reuter, the site's owner and editor — see the author page for who he is and how he tests. He is a researcher and writer, not a clinician, and claims no medical qualifications. We will not attach a fabricated doctor's name or credential to an article to borrow authority we have not earned. Where medical judgement is required, we say to consult a physician instead of pretending to supply it.
Health content standards
This site covers a health-adjacent category, which raises the bar. We do not make claims that a product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents disease. We flag contraindications — pregnancy, implanted cardiac devices, epilepsy, existing heart conditions — where they are relevant. We include the FDA disclaimer on every page. When the honest answer is "the evidence is not there yet", that is the answer we print.
Update cadence and freshness
Every page displays a "last updated" date reflecting the last substantive review. Product pages are re-checked when pricing, bundles or guarantee terms change. Articles are reviewed at least twice a year, and sooner when the underlying facts move. We do not refresh a date without actually reviewing the content behind it.
Corrections
Send factual errors to contact@pulsettotech.com. Substantive corrections are made promptly and the page's update date is changed. We correct rather than quietly delete, and we do not pretend an error was never there.
Independence
We are an independent affiliate site, not the manufacturer and not the official store. Our funding model is fully disclosed. Our conclusions — including the parts that discourage a purchase — are ours.
